COVID-19 March 30th Update

Published Fri 01 Jan 2021

Dear members

I’m writing to you further to my correspondence last week about the Darwin Bushwalking Club response to the Corona Virus (or Covid-19). This email is to provide you with a further important update. Further to the National Cabinet directive this evening and the closing of many of our NT National Parks, the Darwin Bushwalking Club will not be organising any walks until further notice. All current walks in the near future will be suspended. All these actions are being taken to help slow the spread of the corona virus and to keep Territorians safe and healthy.

As it seems the Club will be unable to organise walks for sometime, all current members who joined and paid for a 2019/20 membership before 29 March 2020 will be automatically credited with a 2020/21 Club membership.

The Club AGM, scheduled for 19 May 2020 will now be held online. Further details to come.

We encourage you to find creative ways to stay active and healthy during these unusual times. And we look forward to getting back on the walking trail with you all.

Stay well,

Mara and the Darwin Bushwalking Club Committee
