This walk is being led by Louise, who will already be in the park after leading an overnight walk.

Therefore, our meeting location will be Tolmer falls carpark at around 1pm. We will then drive together to Sandy Creek.

So, if you are not also coming on our overnight walk prior, we will need to have one willing driver from Darwin to Litchfield. 4WD is required for Sandy Creek track.

This walk is moderate difficulty (all off track) but the views are worth it! And the fresh running springwater is just a bonus.

What you need:

• Adequate fitness, balance and coordination to be able to carry a pack on uneven terrain (no trail in these parts!)
• Lightweight tent, sleeping bag and mattress.
• Suitable footwear, and sun smart clothes. 
• It is hot! Please bring electrolytes/hydralyte.
• Bring a day pack, so we can explore upstream of our camp.
• You will need a dry bag - we will be floating our packs! A pair of sandals to swim in and deal with rocks are recommended.
• (NT General Store have both the day packs and dry bags)
• Depending on how many are interested you may be required to pay a deposit to secure your place.

If you have a high clearance car for a rocky water crossing (snorkel not required depth is at 0.4) please let me know, as we may need an additional vehicle.
