A difficult off track day walk in Litchfield National Park. Start at 2WD carpark details for meetup will be emailed to attendees. We will be walking all day exploring the area and checking out some hidden waterfalls. 

To register for this walk you need to log into the DBC with your membership ID and fill out the registration form. There are limited spaces for this walk. Children can attend if they are suitable for all day walking reccomended 10+ Children must be registered through the website which is free for everyone under 18.

Q: I have never walked offtrack before can I come?
A: Yes. This track will be difficult so a good level of fitness is reccomended but you dont need experience offtrack walking. The difficulty comes from uneven terrain and long hot hours NOT distance. Offtrack walking can sometimes move at 1km/h pace especially when extremely overgrown after a strong wet season. 

Q: What should i bring?
A: A day backpack with plenty of snacks, packed lunch at least 3L of drinking water. Personal first aid kit with snake bandages should be carried on every off track walk. Headtorch just in case. Reccomended water proofing if any personal items.

Q: What should i wear?
A: Long sleeves pure cotton shirt, hiking shoes and wide brim hat is highly reccomended. Pants can be a good idea as extra protection from snakes and sun. Pack a bag with an extra change of clothes for the ride home. Your carmates will thank you.

Q: I don't have a car could I come?
A: We do try to share transport as much as possible. you can check out our transport policy on our website in the resources section. Your leader will coordinate this

Q: Are there toilets on the walk. 
A: There are no bathrooms in the bush. The bush is your toilet. bring a shovel if you will need to dig a hole.

Q: What time will we be home?
A: Whilst we will try our hardest to be home before dark sometimes things can happen. Our leaders carry emergency devices and are experienced.

Q: Will there be swimming
A: Yes there will be lots of opportunities on this walk
